HESS,

Miriam K. (née McCauley), devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024. Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia. She was a longtime resident of Wildwood, NJ and currently resided in Gloucester Township, NJ.
Miriam is survived by beloved children Joe (Maria) Hess, Colleen (Charles) Ward, Michael (Christa) Hess, and John (Susan) Hess. Miriam is also survived by her sister Catherine (Tom) Fay and brother Charles McCauley. Miriam was a proud grandmother to Jill (Kevin), Brittany (Ross), Zachary (Enya), Danny, Kali (Devon), Rachel, John, Ryan, Natalie, and Abby Rose. She treasured her great grandchildren Ava and Theodore.
Miriam is predeceased in death by her loving husband Joe Hess, her brother Joseph McCauley and her granddaughter Taryn.
Miriam loved spending time with her friends and family down the shore. She enjoyed listening to the “oldies” especially Elvis. She adored her dog, Roscoe, who she missed terribly. But most of all, she loved her family.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Holy Family RC Church, 226 Hurffville Rd, Sewell, NJ 08080. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the JDRF.
