Michael R. McCloskey, age 74 of Sicklerville, Township of Gloucester, NJ on October 1, 2017. Beloved husband of Marilyn McCloskey (nee Pappert) for 34 years. Devoted father of Michael McCloskey, Jr. and stepfather of Lisa Massey and Peter Gattinella, Jr. Loving grandfather of Tina Massey, Mikey McCloskey, Austin and Aubrey Gattinella and great-grandfather of Richard Massey. Michael is survived by his sister Jan (Steve) Bozza and his brother Don (Eileen) McCloskey. He was preceded in death by his mother Marie McCloskey (nee Wilson), his father John F. McCloskey Jr. and brother John F. III (Barbara) McCloskey. Michael is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mike loved to play golf and watched as much of it as he could on TV (as much as Marilyn would let him!). He especially enjoyed playing golf at Myrtle Beach on his vacations. He also liked working around the house and there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He loved being and grandfather and loved his new great-grandson, Richard. He will be missed by everyone.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon at ST. AGNES RC CHURCH, Our Lady of Hope Parish, 701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood, NJ 08012 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at ST. AGNES RC CHURCH. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing, Township of Gloucester NJ.
