Dora M., “Dolly” (nee Fannelli) of the Blackwood Estates section of Gloucester Township, NJ, age 81 passed away on August 26, 2018. Dolly was the beloved wife of Gary Samoyan and beloved mother of Tony (Patti) Guevara of Blackwood and Jean (Jim) Cotter of Washington Township, NJ. Dolly is survived by her brother Carlo Battiste of Blackwood and doting grandmother of Tony, Rachel, Jordan and Angelina and great grandchildren Sophia and William. Dolly is also survived by stepchildren Gary (Robin), Scott and Greg (Carla).
For 36 years Dolly was employed by the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority and for 15 years after retirement served as a Commissioner on the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority. She also served as a proud Democrat Committeewoman for 46 years for the Gloucester Township Democrat Committee and the Camden County Democrat Committee.
Dolly was also very active in her community as a member of the Blackwood Rotary, Gloucester Township., Housing Authority, Gloucester Township Planning Board, and a Charter Member of the “Babe Didrikson Woman’s Softball League
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday evening, August 29, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and again on August 30 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at THE FUNERAL MANOR, 1585 Hider Lane, Gloucester Township, NJ 08021. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. at Our Lady of Hope Parish, ST. AGNES CHURCH, 501 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
