Mason Bradley Funeral Home Camden, New Jersey
In 1920, Elias Mason opened the Mason Funeral Home in East Camden. His nephew, Mason E. Bradley, discharged from the U.S. Navy in Philadelphia, returned from serving his country to offer to help with the Funeral Home.
A graduate of Eckles College of Mortuary Science in Philadelphia in 1937, Mason worked for his uncle until his uncle´s death. Then he continued to manage it until the Mason Funeral Home was dissolved in 1953. Mason then went on to establish the Mason Bradley Funeral Home at 32nd and Federal in East Camden.
Mason’s son, Addison Bradley, grew up working in the funeral home beside his father. Addison Gardner Bradley graduated from Rutgers University and received a degree in economics and landscape architecture. Shortly after graduating he attended the Eckels College of Mortuary Science, and continued to work at the funeral home while studying.
Addison Gardner Bradley became a licensed Funeral Director and earned his Masters in Public Administration. He then opened “The Funeral Manor” Funeral Home in Gloucester Township New Jersey. Today, Addison manages The Funeral Manor along with his stepson, James J. Dromgoole, III. James earned his Associates Degree at Camden County College and his degree in Mortuary Science at Mercer County College. He became a licensed Funeral Director in 1996.
